“Warrior’s Pride” Atlantic Salmon Fly by David Flint Lot 2 (2017)

Auction Ended

Item condition: New

Nationally acclaimed fly tier David Flint, who specializes in full-dress Atlantic salmon flies, has generously donated two copies of this most beautiful and significant creation.  This unique and metaphorical pattern was specifically designed to honor all our veterans – the men and women who voluntarily elected to service our country and defend our freedom.

In his own words, “My intentions were to display the colors of our flag along with all the colors of each branch of service.  The wing represents our flag while the throat and rear half of the body portrays our unified country.  The forward half of the body is comprised of the colors of each of the service branches that stand in the forefront – in harm’s way – to protect us all.”

Stripers Forever is honored to offer these two flies (lots 1 and 2).  Per David’s wishes, one half of the auction proceeds from the sale of these collector quality flies will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project in recognition of those who have been injured in the line of duty.

Each lot contains:

  • An original Warrior’s Pride fly designed and personally tied by David Flint.
  • A protective envelope
  • A card designating the pattern as Warrior’s Pride and signed by David.
  • A personal and signed thank you letter from David to all veterans, especially those who have been injured on the line of duty.

Welcome to the official web site for Stripers Forever, an all-volunteer organization dedicated to making the striped bass a gamefish. By eliminating commercial exploitation of the #1 recreational saltwater fishery on the east coast, over 3,000,000 recreational anglers will enjoy the social and financial benefits that will come from an improved striped bass population.

Stripers Forever advocates for the conservation and responsible stewardship of wild striped bass along the Atlantic Coast.

Stripers Forever, a non-profit, internet-based conservation organization, seeks game fish status for wild striped bass on the Atlantic Coast in order to significantly reduce striper mortality, to provide optimum and sustainable public fishing opportunities for anglers from Maine to North Carolina, and to secure the greatest socio-economic value possible from the fishery.
