Stripers Forever Maine - LLBean is holding its spring fishing show on the weekend of March 21, 22. They have offered to let us have a membership booth there as they have done in previous years. We need a volunteer to be in charge of this booth and to schedule others that might help. We also need those that will help for at least a half day.
The work is very simple. You simply ask passer bys if they are in favor of striped bass game fish - which means no more commercial fishing allowed for wild striped bass - and if they do they fill out a form that we will then enter into the computer so that they will get our communications. It costs them nothing. The more of us advocating the more strength we have. There will also be a lot of MA residents present. They are particularly important as we have a bill now in that state that we are trying to pass. This is a good opportunity to give something back to the striped bass.
