For the second time in six years the State of Maryland has launched an effort to have its commercial striped bass fishery certified as sustainable, meaning the fish are abundant, healthy, well-managed and caught in environmentally friendly ways. In our opinion none of the above criteria are being met and we have sent the attached letter to the project coordinator outlining our reasons for opposing this charade.
