John Swan is one of America’s most gifted wildlife artists. Swan is often compared to Ripley, Benson, and Pleissner, the 20th century's acknowledged masters of wildlife painting and sporting art. John created this superb, 18 X 30 watercolor painting especially to aid Stripers Forever in their quest to protect striped bass through coast-wide game fish designation. John is himself a fisherman, and has seen the quality of the striper fishing slip away here in his native Maine over the last few seasons.
