Stripers Forever asked David Ross PhD. Scientist Emeritus of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, to comment on the NOAA sponsored workshop on mycobacteriosis held in Annapolis, MD in May 2006. The workshop results have just recently been published. A PDF file of the full report is posted to Articles and Research. Dr. Ross lives in Falmouth, MA, and in addition to his professional credentials he is an active striped bass fishermen. Of particular interest are his comments about the potential effects of mycobacteriosis on striped bass populations and
the largely unknown implications for human health. This short report is attached and is well worth reading.
