Southwick Study Update

One of the attachments to this post is a letter to our members informing them of a socio-economic study that Stripers Forever has commissioned from Southwick Associates. We think you'll like what you hear. The other is a synopsis of the study describing its focus and intent. Many of our members believe that a study like this is necessary to gain more legislative support for the gamefish movement. We believe that this will be a landmark document which we will put in the hands of all important policy and lawmakers on both the state and federal level.
Update 2/12 - the study is now in its second draft and edit stage, and the results show dramatically how beneficial it would be in socio economic terms to end commercial fishing for striped bass. Within the next 60 days the Southwick Study will make its appearance in fishery management circles. All of this will cost money, and all support is appreciated. Brad Burns
