Dear Stripers Forever member - please take a quick but important step to help conserve striped bass in Massachusetts.
The Mass Legislature will soon consider Rep. Matt Patrick’s bill to make wild striped bass a game fish in Bay State waters.~ It is imperative that our legislators see that striper anglers in this state are behind the effort in force, so we are asking you to help us recruit additional members to Stripers Forever by sending the below e-mail to fellow fishermen and guides that you know in Massachusetts.~
Membership in Stripers Forever is free. The organization sends out important striped bass information, and every member gets the chance to shape the striper’s future.
Please cut, paste, and e-mail the message below to as many of your fishing friends who live in Mass as you can.~ Each new voice could be the one to convince another legislator to support the game fish bill!

Dear Striped Bass Fisherman,
This is a critical moment in the fight to save wild striped bass, and Stripers Forever, a free membership, internet-based organization, is fighting to end commercial fishing to conserve striped bass and manage the resource as a quality recreational fishery.~ Massachusetts will soon consider a bill to make striped bass a game fish in the state’s waters, and we need as many members as possible to show the politicians how many MA residents depend on striped bass for recreation, food, and income.~
If you haven't signed up yet as a member of Stripers Forever, here are a few things you should know:
- Membership is free – no dues
- There are no meetings to attend
- All communication is via the internet and e-mail
- Many of the top guides in MA support Stripers Forever
- Stripers Forever’s only goal is to make striped bass a game fish, which means it would be managed for the benefit of the recreational fishing public, now and in future generations.
Here is all that you have to do - it will take less than a minute and cost nothing:
- Go to www.stripersforever.org
- Select “Become A Member” from the menu bar top left
- Fill out the very easy to follow sign-up sheet.
