Stripers Forever members – we have just finished correcting some glitches which popped up during an upgrade of our website software last weekend. Since some of you may have experienced problems with the site, we want to update you on the status of our current auction items. There are three currently available. The links below take you to our site where you can click on the attachment describing the auction item and its current bid status. Just click on the name of the attachment - not the little Microsoft symbol.
· Dean Clark’s Cape Cod fishing trip complete with gourmet meals and overnight accommodations is available until 8:00 PM on March 4. The price is already a generous $1,500, but this will be a great trip.
· The Orvis Ultimate Fly-fish the Surf Outfit has been reintroduced with a lower opening bid. The bid was increased, but it is still at only $1,100. The Orvis outfit is full of their top of the line equipment and apparel – Vortex reel, Zero Gravity Rod, Tailwaters wading jacket and waders, and much more…. We are at well under half of retail at this point.
· On the same page with the Orvis Surf Outfit is a Thule Atlantis 2100 cargo box! The president of Thule offered this great donation to help the cause. A huge hidden benefit is that this item will be shipped to you at no charge! Check out the websites; this
usually costs $125 for shipping and handling. What a bargain on a great cargo box. You could fill it with seaweed and store your eels up there!
These auctions items - and more that will follow - are to support initiatives like the hiring of our new Massachusetts Policy Coordinator, Mike Spinney, and the Southwick Study for the State of Virginia that we have very recently commissioned.
