David Ross PhD. comments on NOAA Mycobacteriosis Workshop report
Stripers Forever - we asked David Ross PhD., Scientist Emeritus of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, to comment on the NOAA sponsored workshop on mycobacteriosis held in Annapolis, MD in May 2006. The workshop results have just recently been published. Dr. Ross lives in Falmouth, MA, and in addition to his professional credentials, is an active striped bass fishermen. Of particular interest are his comments about the potential effects
of mycobacteriosis on striped bass populations and the largely unknown implications for human health. Dr. Ross's short report is available as a Word document under Recent News on our website www.stripersforever.org, and is well worth reading.
A PDF file of the full NOAA workshop report is also posted to Articles and Research on the SF website.
