Striped Bass Game Fish 2006 Trip Selection
Are you going to SBGF 2006 May 20th in Foxboro, MA?  It is not too early to consider what trips might really appeal to you, and to line up your bidding partner for one of these fishing adventures.  We doubt that any conservation auction in the northeast has ever had a greater array of appealing trips.  Check these out!

Stripers Forever Striped Bass Game Fish 2006 Preview and Update

·       Tarpum Cay, BelizeFly Fishing in Saltwaters Magazine rates Tarpum Cay as one of the top places in the world for a slam of bones, permit, and tarpon.  Angler Adventures of Old Lyme, CT came up with this superb donation.
·       Montauk to Watch Hill – three consecutive days for two guys during the height of the striper season with possible action for bonito and school bluefin.  Captains Steve Bellefleur, Steve Barnett, and Sandy Noyes have teamed up for this show-stopper.
·       Block Island – the North Rip, Southwest Ledge -- Captain Dave Preble knows all the spots.  Late fall is the time of the big fish blitz, and the Preble’s Early Bird can take you there in comfort.
·       Maine “Rivers in Time” Sampler – Captain George Harris takes you on Benedict Arnold’s Kennebec, then spends the second day on the nearby Saint George River, home to General Henry Knox, George Washington’s artillery commander.  Ever wonder how the striped bass fishing was in 1776!
·       Boston Harbor – with long-time MA striper guide Captain Rusty Barry.  
·       The Vineyard – shore guide Ron Domurat – past E.D. of CT CCA, and rip/web master Captain Jeff Sayre show you the Vineyard’s top spots, with lodging provided by Larry’s Tackle Shop.  
·       Cuttyhunk –Captain Terry Nugent of Riptide Charters in Bourne, MA has donated a trip that everyone will have a chance at in a special raffle
·       More Kennebec River – Steve Wilson grew up overlooking the banks of the Kennebec, and he still releases 2,000 stripers a year from its waters.  
Are you a duck hunter?  Here is an adventure and a half…
·       Maine Sea duck hunting two days for 4 hunters on Maine’s famed Casco Bay with Captain Mark Hinkley, where the flocks of eiders will boggle the mind.
·       More Casco Bay – Captains Eric Wallace and Dave Sherwood have put together another two days on Casco Bay – this time it’s for two anglers.  Casco Bay has been a bright light in striper fishing during recent seasons.
·       Narragansett Bay – Author and Captain Jim White of White Ghost Charters has legendary knowledge of his native waters.  
·       Cape Cod fish and learn – Lou Tabory teaches and Captain Curt Jessup guides at their Cape Cod fly-fishing school.  
·       Rhode Island – shallow water specialist Captain Bob Hines, fishing from his Action Craft flats boat, will show you the best of Rhode Island’s estuary fishing.
·       More Cape Cod – Captain Jim Ellis of Barnstable will show you the great shallow water fishery in Cape Cod Bay.  
·       The Merrimac – the hottest area in our annual fishing survey is home water to Captain Charles Crue of Newburyport.  
·       Outer Cape Cod – two days of waterfront lodging at the Anchorage on the Cove, and guided fishing by owner Dennis Bunnell near Nauset Inlet.
Self-guided and change-of-pace trips…
·       Henry’s Fork and Warm Rivers - 6 days and nights in a private river front lodge with easy access to two of the best trout rivers in the West.
·       Miramichi Salmon Fishing – guided fishing for two anglers, lodging included.

While you are in MA, don’t forget to sample the area’s great striper fishing.  Late May is great in Boston Harbor as well as in Cape Cod waters and on the Rhode Island shore.  On the left side of the SF website click the button for Find Tackle Shops and Guide Services.  You can search all areas of the coast.
